Social Impact

How PlatformTaxHub creates tangible positive change by providing the missing financial identity layer for the informal economy.

Social Impact

PlatformTaxHub is fundamentally a tool for financial inclusion.

Millions of capable platform earners — gig workers, creators, freelancers, and cross-border earners — are systematically excluded from the formal financial system. Because their income is fragmented and fluctuating, they are routinely denied mortgages, credit, and insurance by institutions that rely on traditional employment verification.

The Problem We Address

The financial system was built for people with a single employer, a consistent salary, and a standardised pay document. Platform earners break every one of those assumptions:

  • Multiple income sources with no single employer
  • Variable amounts that change month to month
  • No standardised documentation that lenders recognise
  • Cross-border complexity that traditional verification cannot process

The consequence: platform earners with sufficient income are denied financial products — not because they cannot afford them, but because they cannot prove they can.

Our Impact

Our social impact is built directly into the product:

  • Aggregating multi-platform, multi-currency income into a single verified view
  • Generating automated, lender-ready financial statements backed by actual transaction data
  • Providing the "missing financial identity layer" for the informal economy
  • Enabling access to mortgages, credit, and insurance through documentation that institutions can verify

What This Means in Practice

A platform earner who generates £60,000 across Uber, Upwork, and Etsy can now produce a consolidated income verification document that demonstrates consistency, sufficiency, and verifiability — the three signals lenders need to approve applications.

We are not just building software to track taxes. We are dismantling the systemic barriers that prevent non-traditional workers from proving their financial stability, accessing fair credit, and achieving long-term economic security.

Measuring Our Impact

We measure social impact through:

  • Number of income verification documents generated
  • Diversity of countries and currencies served
  • Percentage of users on free tier accessing core financial visibility tools
  • User progression from financial opacity to filing readiness
