When QuickBooks / Xero is the better choice

Stay with QuickBooks or Xero if you need real company accounts: a full chart of accounts, journals, accruals, fixed assets, payroll and VAT or sales tax returns produced from the ledger itself. They are also the right choice if an accountant or bookkeeper already works inside your file, or if you sell physical goods and depend on stock, POS or the wider integration ecosystem. That depth is genuinely better than anything a lightweight income tracker can offer, and switching away from it to save a subscription would cost you more than it saves.
